Aethia

Aethia wearable folding knife that features a dual action circular lock which engages in both the open and closed positions. Fabricated on manually controlled machinery.

A bit of context: My father is a machinist who went on to establish a successful career as a folding knife maker. I spent much of my childhood in his workshop, and that experience set the foundation for my own artistic career. In 2015, I flew to Oregon to spend two weeks with my father, working alongside each other to create this piece that bridged both of our creative worlds.
